| Introduction Have you ever seen Freeze throwing an enemy and then hit him with dash attack? This is only possible with the "Direct Run Technique"
Direct Run Technique is a technique to directly run after performing some moves. This is the only way of hi tting an enemy with dash attack after throwing him forward.
How To This technique is possible right after you throw your enemy forward or performing special attacks by holding all combinated buttons at once.
If you usually perform Davis's strafe punch by pressing Defend followed with Down and then Attack, you can do it either by pressing Defend, Down, and Attack at the same time. This is required for the 'Sliding Technique'.
Right after you perform the move press forward on the right time. The move means throwing enemy forward or performing Special Moves.
To activate 'Direct Run Technique' you must perform the Special Move by pressing the combination buttons all at once.
The use of Direct Run Technique Now that you have known how to perform the technique, what for is the technique?
This tech makes some impossible combos possible, just as the throw and dash attack combo, you can do, for example, Davis' strafe punch continued by dash attack, or Rudolf's 5x Shuriken continued with dash attack.
This tech mostly use dash attack in combos because this helps you to run so you'll only need to jump and attack.
Another use of this tech is to dodge 2nd attack from an opponent. Let's say you're in VS Mode and you're being hit by his punch. You can sometimes dodge his 2nd punch by performing the Direct Run Technique.
Remember that this technique can also be done right after a melee hit. And also note that this technique can only be done forward (if you are facing right you can only direct run to the right)
So if you're facing against the enemy when he punch you, you should press the opposition direction so you will be able to use direct run dodge right before his 3rd punch. This makes this technique unable to dodge 2 punches characters such as Mark, Knight, Dennis, Deep, LouisEX, and Julian.

| you're not quite right ;p . I admit this technique is hard even for advanced players, only few can do this tech successfully each time.
I myself can do direct run about 1/4 of the times only, but this can sometimes be helpful in stage modes (i mostly use the davis strafe punch then dash attack combo with this tech, if not continued by dragon punch)
Performing the move by pressing all buttons at once can sometimes be trouble (coz most keyboards can only cover 3 buttons pressed at once) but the real problem is to press the direction key on the right time ^^ .

| Umm so you can't understand it, Goku? If you have tried it out probably you're doing alright except you didn't pressed the direction key on the right time ^^ and it is really hard to press it on time - it ranged for only about 1-2 frames (i don't know exactly btw, but probably only 1 frame where you can do direct run)
If you haven't tried just try grabbing person from the left (so he is on the right of you) and throw him to the right, and after a short while press right once. If your character does not run immediately, perhaps you didn't pressed the right key on the correct timing (the timing is the only thing that's hard)

| It is only one frame to make a dash to the opponent in the air after your throw but the direct run is also possible in a few frames more later.I think 3-4 | |

| You need a fast keyboard to do this right? Because I have a laggy wireless keyboard that sometimes even mess up my normal attacks... Should I buy a gaming keyboard this will be a great excuse to get one | |
